Paint Donation for Downtown Wellington Business Facades

Jim Jerousek has generously offered to cover the cost of paint for downtown Wellington storefronts/facades.

There are a few stipulations that building/business owners need to follow:
  • A Donation Form needs filled out prior to the purchase of paint.  Forms are available at Main Street Wellington and a link is below.
  • Once approved, the paint needs to be purchased at Farm and Home Hardware in Wellington, Ohio.
  • The paint is to be used for a downtown Wellington business storefront/façade.
  • Painting needs to be completed by July 1, 2018.  [was extended from May 1]
The Village of Wellington also requires a few forms to be filled out to ensure that building owners are following local ordinances.  A links to the forms are below.

This offer is strictly a paint donation.
Mr. Jerousek, Farm and Home Hardware, Main Street Wellington, and all associated parties are not responsible for the labor and associated costs to paint participating buildings/businesses.  It is recommended that proper preparation of the surfaces are followed to increase the longevity and attractive appearance of paint.  It is also recommended that all safety measures are followed.

Design Review Board Approval

Paint Inspiration Book - by Darlene Neptune with help from Bert Brainard and DeNita Tuttle from Farm and Home Hardware.
Why is Jim offering this?
Jim currently owns several buildings in downtown Wellington.  He used to also be a Wellington retailer, along with his father and brother, who opened Farm and Home Hardware in 1960.  His nephew, Scott Jerousek currently owns the business.
Jim wants to see downtown Wellington restored to what it has been in the past.  He also understands how challenging it can be to budget money towards building renovations.
Thank you Jim for caring about Wellington and your generous offer.
