We were awarded the America's Main Street Contest in 2019, by Independent We Stand. With that came a beautiful trophy and $25,000!
So... How are we going to spend it?
At the June 13 Board Meeting, the board voted to allocate the $25,000 prize as follows:
$12,500 Toward mini façade grants and the Cheese Building
$7,500 Flooring and/or Welcome Center display at Main Street Wellington
$2,000 To the Village of Wellington for signs, banners and Christmas lights
$2,000 Subsidize Main Street Wellington’s Heritage Ohio membership
$1,000 Cover program expenses for July 2nd + 3rd events
Wellington brick and mortar businesses are able to request up to a $1,000 reimbursement for façade renovations including window, door, sign, and paint repair/replacement. The request form is available by clicking here or by calling 440-647-3987. Requests are due July 31, 2019. Decisions will be sent August 19, 2019 and the work is to be completed by November 30, 2019. Main Street plans to show before and after photos of all projects on their website.
