Fleet One Automotive Rental & Leasing came to Wellington July 1, 2024. They are inside of Valley Chevrolet located at 46767 Ohio 18 just west of downtown Wellington.
Eric Jessop, is the Rental Coordinator and re-located from Rhode Island and has been delighted to get to live in a small, friendly community. He serves Northern and Central Ohio. Fleet One has a very local focus and we are happy that Eric has been getting to know local business leaders through B2B Mixers and other community events. Fleet One Automotive Rental & Leasing is affiliated with Valley Automotive located in Cleveland, Ohio. The Wellington location carries rental vehicles made by Chevy, Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram. Most of the locations are located within Valley Chevy/Ford dealerships which includes Columbus, Cuyahoga Falls, Huron, Mansfield, Monroeville, and Port Clinton. Fleet One is very customer oriented and will work with customers to rent an ideal vehicle for just about any personal or commercial application. They will also pick up and deliver vehicles. They have hourly rates, days, weeks, and long term options. You can make a reservation request and see availability and rates through their website. Party for a Purpose: Ladies Night Out is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization in Lorain County with a goal to raise awareness and funds for local charities.
Probably the best way to raise money for a good cause is to invite people to a fun event! Their website states: "We believe that by coming together in celebration, we can foster a spirit of giving that echoes beyond the evening." The idea for the organization began in 2021 during a "Mom Prom" post COVID. Followed by a Roaring Twenties themed event in 2022 to raise money for the Genesis House also known as Lorain County Safe Harbor. Genesis House provides safe housing for women and children escaping a domestic abuse situation. They also provide resources and education to break the cycle of violence. Party for Purpose followed up with a 60's and 70's Groovy Theme in 2023 and an epic 80's theme in 2024. In three short years, the organization has raised over $40,000 for charity. The 4th Annual Event is on April 26, 2025 and will again benefit the Genesis House. Tickets go on sale late February. 219 N Main St Wellington, OH 44090 440-647-6310 Lifetime Wellington resident, Daniel Gossman, started the Gossman Allstate Agency 34 years ago after he graduated from the University of Toledo. Over the years, we have witnessed many changes and additions to our village such as the underpass, school construction, new homes and residents, and restorations of our beautiful and historic downtown area. Years ago, our office building was the Queens Diner. Many of our customers remember the diner and can tell us where they use to be seated at when they came for lunch- we love to hear the stories and history of our building! When not doing insurance, Daniel donates his time as the treasurer of the Wellington Salvation Army and to other local charities. The Wellington Allstate Insurance office is committed to the community through servicing local boards while donating time and money to many local organizations and causes to Wellington. Our agency primarily handles your personal insurance needs such as car and home insurance. Besides Daniel, you’ll find Angie and Jen in the office who are also Wellington residents. Angie and Jen’s dogs make an appearance in the office from time to time! The office is open 8:30-5:00 Monday-Friday. We are not just insurance representatives to most. We are faces they see not only in the office, but at a football game or the hardware store. The best part of our job is that we share connections with each one of our customers. 34 years in business here in Wellington could not have been accomplished without the support of our community. We are a mighty community that supports each and every individual or business. Anytime there is a new business opening their doors, no matter the kind, it’s so heartwarming to see the support given. That is what community means to us- the support and friendships that comes out of an ever-changing and historical town. Dan and the Allstate team set the bar high for our first Fall Flowerpot Decorating Contest in 2020 and continues to welcome people to town with creative displays near his office.
