General Information

We are inviting your group to join the numerous Lorain County organizations and community businesses which participate in the Annual Wellington Cheese Heritage Festival parade that will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 3:00 PM.  Line up will begin at 2:00 p.m. 

All participants must register in advance.  Registration closes Friday, July 8.  Following completed registration, you will be mailed any additional information, including the number of your unit’s position in the parade.  Complete application form and send to:

Awards

A ribbon and a monetary award will be given for first ($100), second ($75), and third ($50) place.   Judging will be based on crowd appeal, and overall enthusiasm & commitment of the unit and its representatives

 
Rules and Information
  1. All participants must complete entire parade route to qualify for prizes.
  1. Trailer and Car Parking:

                        Parking for non-parade vehicles is provided at Wellington Football Field at the                                     intersection of McKinley and Dickson Streets.                                                                        

  1.  Safety Issues:

  2. Throwing candy other items is NOT ALLOWED.  If you wish to give candy to children, unit assistants may walk and hand out the candy. Tractors - only the driver-operator is allowed on an open-air tractor.  Pick up Trucks - no riders in back of pick up trucks.
  1.  All rules must be followed to qualify for a prize.
   

Additional Parade Information

Judging will take place during the parade at the viewing area in front of Town Hall.
